Sunshine Daises, Butter Mellow...

Thoughts for the Week

I really do love nice people on planes. The difference they make on long flights is drastic. And decent food. Rather than chicken that has the consistency of cardboard. Ugh.

Who ever knew Thomas Aquinas was so readable? Dr. McIntosh makes awesome study guides.

It's been 4 years since I've been to the beach when it was sunny and warm. And even that was in April. Sad.

Greek is fun. And so is Latin. Even when a bucket of new terms is dumped on us. Who'd have guessed?

I love British Tea. Especially from a teapot. It tastes better that way.

Grey rainclouds can be gorgeous. If you just think about it.

I love bright colors. Especially purple. And red.

Sleeping on a floor in the mall in a random city in the UK really does make for a fun story -- especially when half the school knows a different version.

God's strength is made perfect in our weakness.

Squirrels are super difficult to draw. Mice are easier. So if you ever plan on drawing a rodent, skip the squirrel.

Jane Austen was super sarcastic. That makes me happy for some entirely inexplicable reason.

Why is it so easy to remind other people to be joyful when I always forget to be joyful myself?

I love sisters. Really. Little ones. And big ones. And sisters-in-law. All of them.

A Tabernacle for the Sun

It is morning.
Books surround my bed.
No. Books are my bed.
The clicking of the keys
-My morning soundtrack
I am in a cage.
The sun is watching,
Rising ever higher.
It sings a tune.
Psalm 19.
Finals.

The Tilt-A-Whirl

"There is a crushing joy that crackles in every corner of this world. I am tiny and yet I am here. I have been given senses, awareness, existence, and placed on a stage so crowded with the vast, so teeming with the tiny, that I can do nothing but laugh. And sometimes laugh and cry.

Living makes dying worth it."
